クライストチャーチは、ニュージーランドの中でも最も“英国的”な街といわれ、また美しく広大な公園が多く、“ガーデンシティ”としても国際的に知られています。
また、東にはバンクス半島の入り江、砂浜のビーチ、低木林、渓谷、岩々が連なる海岸線、ワイナリー、フランス人入植者の街アカロアなど、西には南太平洋地域で最も高い山々サザンアルプスの懐に抱かれた肥沃な大地と川、湖などがあり、南島の玄関口にもなっています。

ジオス・クライストチャーチ・ランゲージ・センター（GEOS Christchurch Language Centre）では、一般英語、ビジネス英語から各種試験準備コースなどを提供しています。

コミュニケーションを大変重視しており、クラス内で学んだ英語をできるだけ実践的に使用できるよう指導しています。

スキルベース（リーディング、ライティング、スピーキング、リスニング）の指導に加え、テーマに関連する語彙や文法、文構造なども網羅します。
校内には様々な設備があり、自習室、インターネット環境（無料）、休憩室（コーヒー・紅茶付き）などが利用できます。

また、週ごとにスポーツや観光アクティビティ、ダンスクラスが用意されており（毎週金曜日）、アカロアやネルソン、ウエストコーストなどへの週末旅行などにも参加できます。

Some people say Christchurch is the most ‘English’ of New Zealand’s cities. Known as ‘The Garden City’ it has won international renown for it’s expansive parks and beautiful public gardens. Christchurch is also the gateway to the pristine South Island -there’s excitement waiting within an hour or two in any direction ... to the east the sheltered bays, sandy beaches, bush clad valleys and the rocky coastline of Banks Peninsula, along with wineries and the French settlers’ village of Akaroa. To the west, past fertile plains and braided rivers, are forested foothills and lakes, leading to the highest mountains in Australasia, the Southern Alps. We offer a range of courses and programmes to suit all language needs and levels. From General English and Business English to Examination preparation programmes (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, FCE, CAE), Activity Courses and Study Tours there is something to cater for every taste. Our approach is very communicative and learners are encouraged to use and practice the language as much as possible. The teaching methods are skills-based (reading, writing, speaking and listening), with vocabulary, grammar and structures introduced around interesting and relevant themes. The college is well equipped with a Self-Access Centre for private study, free Internet facilities and large student common rooms with free tea and coffee with a relaxed atmosphere. There are weekly sports and sightseeing activities, free dance classes every Friday, and fantastic weekend trips to places of interest such as Akaroa, Nelson, and the West Coast.

スピーキング、リスニング、リーディング、ライティングの総合的なスキルを身につけます。
学生はテキストを使用し、テーマに基づいた授業を受けます。
テキストの要旨に従い、１週間週ごと（もしくは２週間ごと）のトピックに重点を置いたアクティビティも行います。
これによりグループ内でのアイディアを共有したり、語彙力をつけることができます。
文法、文構造は徐々に導入し、クラス内のコミュニケーションアクティビティで実践練習します。宿題は定期的に出されます。
学生は４週間ごとに上達を評価するテストを受けます。
テストに合格し、授業を継続的に受講しており、課題を修了している方は、次のレベルへ進級することができます。
授業が易しすぎたり、難しすぎると感じられる場合は、担当教師に相談し、適切なクラスへ編入することができます。
/Format is Integrated Skills (Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing). Students use a core textbook (e.g. Headway, New Interchange, Cutting Edge). Class work is theme-based: activities are focus on a weekly or bi-weekly topic, usually following the coursebook syllabus, so that students can develop useful vocabulary and share ideas in group discussions. Grammar and structure are introduced progressively and used in class communication activities. Homework is given regularly. Every 4 weeks, students are tested and their progress is assessed. Students who pass the test, and have consistently participated in class and completed their homework, can move to the next level. Those who find their class too easy or too difficult, can ask to be moved to a more suitable level.

この５週間のコースは、ケンブリッジビジネス英語検定試験の要旨に基づいて行われます。
授業では、本物の資料（教材）を使用し、ロールプレイやシュミレーションなどを通じ、ビジネスの場で英語を使わなければならない学生に現実的な指導を行います。
主な履修トピックスは、手紙、ファクス、メモの取り方、電話応対テクニック、国際取引、マーケティング、ミーティング、営業、交渉などです。
/A five-week course based on the syllabus of the Cambridge Business English (BEC) examination. The course uses authentic materials, role-plays and simulations to provide a realistic preparation for those needing to use English in the work-place.
Topics covered include: letters, faxes, and memos, telephone technique, international trade, marketing, meetings, sales and negotiation.

この５週間のコースでは、IELTS試験対策を行います。
授業は、試験形式（リーディング、ライティング、インタビュー、リスニング）に基づき、特に分析的なエッセイライティング、表やグラフの解説、アカデミックリーディング、質問の仕方、ディスカッションへの参加、質問に対するまとまりのある回答等のスキルに重点をおきます。
/A five-week full-time course preparing students for the IELTS examination. Class work follows the format of the exam (Reading, Writing, Interview and Listening), with emphasis on skills like writing analytical essays, describing figures and graphs, reading academic texts for general meaning and specific information, asking questions and participating in discussions, and presenting organised, developed answers to questions.

この12週間（もしくは10週間）のコースは、ケンブリッジ検定試験を受験する方を対象にしています。
クラスでは試験形式（英語運用力、リーディング、ライティング、リスニング、スピーキング）を導入し、試験に合格するために必要なスキルを習得します。
履修内容は、インタビューテクニック、エッセイライティング、要旨と特定情報のリーディング、文法、語彙、イディオム、フレーズなどを含みます。
/A 12 (or 10) week full time course (23 hours/week) designed specifically for students interested in sitting the Cambridge examinations. The format of the exams (Use of English, Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) is introduced and the classes are designed to teach the skills and language necessary to pass the exam. These include interview techniques, essay writing, reading for gist and for specific information, grammar and vocabulary, idiomatic expressions and phrasal verbs.
